Horses, like humans can experience stress in certain situations. Zylkène Equine has been developed to help horses and ponies overcome difficult or stressful situations such as prolonged confinement, a new environment, new people or new horses, weaning, “breaking”, travelling, teeth rasping, vet or farrier visits. Zylkène Equine can be used for both short and long term stress alongside behavioural training to help horses adapt to changing situations. For anticipated stress such as travelling or a change in environment, start Zylkène Equine from 2 days prior to, and for the duration of, the stressful event. For chronic behavioural problems, Zylkène Equine can be used on a continuous basis. Zylkène Equine is a natural product and is available in an easy to give, once daily, apple flavoured powder which can be mixed with a small amount of food. Zylkène Equine has not been associated with side effects such as sedation, lack of inhibition or memory loss at the recommended daily intake. Zylkène is already widely used in small animal practice and has proved highly effective in the management of stress in dogs and cats. No side effects have been associated with the use of Zylkene Equine at the recommended daily intake. Recommended duration of use is up to 4 weeks. The opinion of a nutrition expert or veterinarian should be sought before using the complementary feed or before extending it's period of use. Directions For oral administration.
