Helping Pets Cope during the Fireworks Season with the Aid of Serene-UM®

The Fireworks Season is fast approaching starting earlier each year and extending right through until New Years. It is a stressful time for our pets and one in which they find it difficult to cope with. Having worked with Dogs and Cats over the past 11 years it is quite surprising that the majority of them have nervousness, stress and anxiety as the driving force behind the behaviour problems. Without tackling these issues head on and dealing with the root cause of the problem, many behaviours simply transfer to something else. For this reason it is so important to try and help your pet cope with their fears and anxieties during the Fireworks Season.
Apart from all the usual tips such as closing curtains and turning up the TV there is a more substantial aid that has been tested and used by me in my clinics and by my patients up and down the country. It is a product called Serene-UM.
Serene-UM® is a simple way for pet owners to help their animals through the firework season. Whether it is for prevention or cure, Serene-UM® is a tried and tested aid which can help to reduce fear, stress and anxiety naturally to help keep pets calm during what can be a very frightening time without sedating them.
It is also important to note that cuddling or comforting an animal when it is afraid only serves to increase the fear - the pet simply believes that being afraid is the correct way to behave. The better response is to simply act as though nothing is happening, although this can be very difficult to do.

Serene-UM® 30 tablet pack - ideal for animals under 20kg
Serene-UM Calm Xtra 45 tablet pack - for animals over 20-60kkg
Serene-UM® Drops 100ml - for cats and smaller dogs who do not take tablets easily
Serene-UM® Rabbit drops 100ml
Directions for use:
Crumble tablet and add to food. If preferred, tablet can be given whole. It may be necessary to commence administration of Serene Um 3-4 days prior to event to maximise the benefits of the product.

Small Cats Up to 2.5kg ¼ tablet, twice daily
Large Cats 2.5 5kg ½ tablet, twice daily
Small Dogs Up to 5kg ½ tablet, twice daily
Medium Dog 5 - 10kg 1 tablet, twice daily
Large Dogs 10 - 20kg 2 tablets, twice daily
