A Not at all, it is 220v and runs on the mains. The unit comes with a 3-pin plug attached and plugs into a standard household outlet. Q How often does the filter need changing? A Every 4-6 weeks. A pack of 3 filters costs only £5.99 (RRP). Q How much water does the small Drinkwell hold? A The basic unit (original) holds 50 fluid ounces (American), which is about 1.5 litres or 2.25 pints. An Additional Capacity Reservoir adds a further 1.5 litres and the Additional Capacity Reservoir Plus adds about another 2 litres. Q How much water does the BIG-DOG Drinkwell hold? A BIG-DOG holds over 2-gallons of water and comes with an Additional Capacity Reservoir included in the price Q When should you use an Additional Capacity Reservoir? A The basic unit should be fine for up to 2/3 cats or a small dog. If you have more than 2/3 cats or a cat and a small dog using the fountain you should use the Additional Capacity Reservoir to avoid the water being used up and damaging the motor. Q What should I do if my motor suddenly stops? A The first thing to do is to remove the motor from the unit and then the impellor from the motor and give the motor and impellor a good clean. Full instructions for removing and cleaning the motor are in the operator's manual (if you have misplaced yours call 0870 240 8909 for a replacement). Set up the fountain again, 9 times out of 10 the motor will start up OK after a clean. However, if this is not the case, call 0870 240 8909 for further instructions. |
